What caught my attention more than anything while we were touring around Paris was the attention to design. Whether is was the play between a statue and its surroundings or the addition of symbols to a church or palace facade, there was attention paid to how things looked and more importantly what they meant. This is a place where stories and traditions are not just brought out at holidays, and (lucky enough for someone visiting) there was a new and interesting story around every corner. This counts my fourth time in Paris. I hope that it will not be my last as there is still so much to see and learn about this beautiful city.
